Terms of Service

Acceptance

By accessing or using the Indiana Property Data API, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.

API Access

  • Access to the API is granted via API keys issued to your account.
  • Each individual or entity may maintain one account.
  • Sharing API keys with third parties is prohibited. You are responsible for all activity under your key.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the API only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. Specifically, you may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the API
  • Perform automated scraping or bulk downloads beyond your plan's rate limits
  • Redistribute API data as a competing property data service

Rate Limits & Quotas

  • Each pricing tier has defined rate limits and monthly request quotas.
  • Requests exceeding your limit will receive a 429 Too Many Requests response.
  • Paid tiers may enable overage billing. You will be notified before overage charges apply.

Data Attribution

  • You must credit "Indiana Property Data" when displaying API data publicly (websites, reports, dashboards).
  • Attribution is not required for internal or analytical use where data is not presented to the public.

Uptime & SLA

  • We target 99.9% uptime for paid tiers, measured on a monthly basis.
  • The free tier is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee.
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance.

Payment Terms

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • Accounts with overdue payments will be suspended after 7 days.

Termination

  • Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by providing written notice.
  • We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

Limitation of Liability

  • All data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
  • We make no guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data.
  • We are not liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on data obtained through the API.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
